Hi, my name is Lucy Henderson and, to put it bluntly, I'm a machine embroidery fanatic! Since I got my first embroidery machine (a Brother 2000 Galaxy) I've been totally hooked. One of the really great things about machine embroidery is the ability to quickly experiment with techniques and materials, not something readily available to the hand embroiderer and, of course, if anyone suffers from arthritis and can't do hand work then a machine is truly wonderful.
Over the year I've experimented with many different fabrics but about a year ago I read about MYLAR and the effect it gives in embroidery, so being game for anything (well almost) I ordered some in from America and WOW it was amazing, so easy to use, very cheap to buy and the iridescent effect in designs is something you have to see to believe.
I can supply all of the main colours in sheets of 18" x 15" at 60p per sheet (YES only 60p) with a minimum order of 5 sheets, which can be mixed, postage is fixed at 90p even if you buy 100 sheets, Coloured opal is supplies as a pack of 9 colours (1 of each) and they are 9" x 9" at a pack price of £3.00 per pack + the 90p postage.
I have a photograph collection on Flickr at: http://www.flickr.com/photos/lucyhendersonembroidery/ if you would like to see some examples of what can be done, or, if you want to ask any questions please email me at lucyhenderson53@yahoo.co.uk putting MYLAR in the subject line.
Thanks and happy embroidering
